Recruitment, Engagement, Collection & Analysis (RECA) Core

The Recruitment, Engagement, Collection, and Analysis (RECA) Core provides integrated methodological support for human research across the CIRCA portfolio. RECA specializes in the design and implementation of studies that combine biological, behavioral, and psychosocial measurement across cross-sectional and longitudinal designs.

This Core Supports Investigators in:

  • Recruitment of diverse and often hard-to-reach populations

  • Participant engagement and long-term retention

  • In-person, remote, and hybrid data collection

  • Qualitative and quantitative data collection approaches

  • Coordination of complex longitudinal protocols

  • Data management, harmonization, and analytic planning

By integrating these functions, the RECA Core reduces barriers to rigorous human research and ensures that CIRCA projects and pilots benefit from consistent, high-quality study implementation.

RECA also provides training and consultation for investigators seeking to strengthen recruitment strategies, improve participant retention, and integrate mixed-methods approaches into their research programs.
